20-Year Data Retention Policy
CargoVault retains all business-critical data for a minimum of 20 years. This covers deal records, lots and line items, company registrations, escrow and financial transactions, KYC and sanctions checks, Safe Room documents and every audit log.
No business-critical record is deleted while the 20-year period runs, including on account closure.
After the archive threshold, records move to immutable cold storage and stay fully retrievable.
Safe Room documents keep their SHA-256 hash and audit trail for the whole retention period.
Erasure requests
Where a retention obligation applies, CargoVault relies on the legal-obligation basis and cannot erase the record before the retention period ends. Marketing data and optional profile content outside this register are erased on request.
